Social Media—Who Cares if They Like Me?
Social Media is not about the "like" anymore, it is all about the dollars and converting followers into customers. Do you wonder what a sponsored post is? Want to know the difference between a Facebook fan page, a business page or a group page, and how to advertise them? How about a LinkedIn Showcase page or a Snap Chat Story? Kim Gilmore, of GMCI Creative in Elgin will demystify social media for you in this 90 minute, hands on workshop. Learn how to pay for targeted Facebook Posts, Tweets and LinkedIn ads to garner new customers and loyal followings. Find out the best ways to engage people on social media, and how NOT to respond when social media breaks bad. This is not your regular social media overview class. This class will take you into the trenches of how to target paid, and unpaid social media. We will discuss, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snap Chat, YouTube, Tumblr, Google+ and more, yes, there is more.About the Instructor:

I am so thankful that a few of my fellow Batavian’s recommended the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to me. Since I joined I feel as though I have been blessed with a second family with all the support and motivation I get from them on a regular basis. Margaret, Patti and Shirley are the most amazing women. They have great passion for business and helping people. I truly feel they care about my business on a personal level and want to see it grow and succeed as much as I do! They have gone the extra mile to get my name and my business name out there and introduce me to the business community. The Chamber has so many opportunities available that have helped my business both grow and problem solve such as the free monthly Networking It events. I highly recommend the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to all business professionals.
