Batavia Community Band Concert in the...Description
The Batavia Community Band will be hosting their third annual “Concert in the Park” on Sunday, September 15th, from 3:00-4:15 p.m. at the Peg Bond Center on the Batavia Riverwalk (in case of bad weather, the concert will be held in the Council Chambers at Batavia City Hall next to the Riverwalk).
This concert will consist of music from many different genres, including marches, classics, movie medleys, and patriotic songs.
This concert will be enjoyable for young and old alike. Bring a lawn chair, blanket or just sit on the grass for a quiet afternoon of beautiful music down by the river.
The Batavia Community Band, under the umbrella of the City of Batavia, was organized in the Fall of 2013 to play for Batavia city events and celebrations. The band has brought together many former musicians who live in Batavia and the surrounding towns that wanted to pick up their instruments once again. New members are always welcome. Membership in this band is voluntary; there is no ticket cost for our concerts, nor is there a membership fee to play with the group. Donations are gladly accepted to help offset the cost of new music at any time during the year. The director of the Batavia Community Band is Mr. John Heath, retired director of the Batavia High School band.

I am so thankful that a few of my fellow Batavian’s recommended the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to me. Since I joined I feel as though I have been blessed with a second family with all the support and motivation I get from them on a regular basis. Margaret, Patti and Shirley are the most amazing women. They have great passion for business and helping people. I truly feel they care about my business on a personal level and want to see it grow and succeed as much as I do! They have gone the extra mile to get my name and my business name out there and introduce me to the business community. The Chamber has so many opportunities available that have helped my business both grow and problem solve such as the free monthly Networking It events. I highly recommend the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to all business professionals.
