NAMI KDK, the National Alliance on Mental Illness affiliate covering Kane-South, DeKalb & Kendall Counties, provides FREE mental health support, education, and advocacy for individuals, family members, and communities.
All programs are free to the public and facilitated by an individual living with a mental health condition, their family members, or their significant others. Support groups encompass family support, Spanish groups, BIPOC support, LGBTQ+, teen support, and senior circle. Our website has a host of resources and educational material available to you. View Personal BioSara GrayI am currently the Executive Director of NAMI KDK, The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Kane-south, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties a nonprofit organization. We are an affiliate of NAMI, the largest grassroots mental health organization in the country. Our mission is to provide FREE education, support, and public advocacy for people living with mental illness, their families, and communities.View Personal BioKimberly MebaneIn my role as the Program Coordinator I supervise interns, manage community volunteers, facilitate support groups, teach mental health education classes, give community presentations, and attend community events. I am passionate about mental health advocacy and believe in sharing my story to help to reduce the stigma attached to mental health.
