5K and 10K Race and Fun for the Whole Family
BATAVIA (January 22, 2020) –
Lace up your running shoes and bring the family to the friendliest race on the Fox River! The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation is thrilled to invite you to participate in its 20th Annual Fox Trot 5K and 10K race on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at the Batavia Riverwalk (Island Avenue & Houston Street in downtown Batavia). Races (5K, 5K stroller, and 10K) start at 8:00AM and feature courses along the beautiful Fox River. Following the race is an award presentation for the winners of both races.
Kids can join in on the fun, too! The Fox Trot features two non-competitive races designed especially for children. The Junior Jog, for children in preschool, kindergarten, or first grade, is approximately ¼ mile long. Second through fifth graders are encouraged to try the Youth Run (1 mile). The kids’ events begin at approximately 8:45AM, but all are welcome to partake in the pre-race events, which will include entertainment and a group stretch.
Pre-registration for all events is encouraged. The pre-registration cost for the 5K is $30 per runner and the pre-registration cost for the 10K is $40 per runner. The first 300 5K/10K runners who register by April 1st are guaranteed a t-shirt! There is no charge for either Kids’ Fun Run, but a donation of $10 per child is suggested. Funds raised through this event will support local charities in the Fox Valley area, as well as Batavia schools.
Visit the Mothers’ Club website at https://www.bataviamothersclub.org/events/fox-trot-run-walk/ to register online or find more information about this fun event. In-person registration will also be accepted on race day from 6:30 - 7:40 a.m. just outside the Peg Bond center.
We look forward to seeing you on April 25th for this fun and family-friendly event!
