Batavia, IL—The June edition of Water Street Studios’ Live Art Series will feature an evening of films and film-related programming courtesy of the brand-new After Image Film Festival. You are invited to join us on June 28, 2019, at 6:00 p.m.
Following cocktail hour, the program will commence with the unveiling of the official line-up for 2019 After Image Film Festival. The line-up will include a diverse range of programming including films that premiered at major festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, and the Toronto Film Festival, as well as films made by Chicago-area directors. Attendees will then be treated to a sneak preview of one of the short films that will be presented during the festival in September.
After a brief intermission, the evening will continue with a screening of CONTAMINATED MEMORIES, produced by Chicago-based Kartemquin Films (“Hoop Dreams,” “Minding the Gap”). In 1985, Penny Beerntsen was brutally attacked on a beach in Wisconsin after which she identified Steven Avery as her attacker. Based primarily upon her eyewitness testimony, Avery was convicted, but eighteen years into his 32-year sentence, a devastating discovery occurs.
Filmmaker Debra Tolchinsky will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A.
Disclaimer: CONTAMINATED MEMORIES is intended for mature audiences and includes some graphic language.

I am so thankful that a few of my fellow Batavian’s recommended the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to me. Since I joined I feel as though I have been blessed with a second family with all the support and motivation I get from them on a regular basis. Margaret, Patti and Shirley are the most amazing women. They have great passion for business and helping people. I truly feel they care about my business on a personal level and want to see it grow and succeed as much as I do! They have gone the extra mile to get my name and my business name out there and introduce me to the business community. The Chamber has so many opportunities available that have helped my business both grow and problem solve such as the free monthly Networking It events. I highly recommend the Batavia Chamber of Commerce to all business professionals.
