Batavian's have quick access to highly skilled
medical practitioners in two conveniently located
hospitals.
Delnor-Community Hospital, minutes north of Batavia
on Randall Road, is part of Delnor-Community Health
System. A modern, 118-bed medical facility, the

nursing. High risk newborns are cared for in a
Level II nursery.
Parents can remain close to their children in
Delnor-Community Hospital's Pediatric Department,
with its pullout beds that give parents a place
to sleep. To help assure patients' well being,
the department's nurses are all certified in pediatric
advanced life support.

surgery, a cancer care program accredited by the
American College of Surgeons, home health care,
a warm water therapy pool, and a full range of
rehabilitation programs. In addition, the hospital
has such highly sophisticated diagnostic equipment
as CT scans, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging,
angiography, and nuclear medicine.

Road between Delnor-Community Hospital and Batavia,
is a center for ambulatory surgery. It performs
more than 375 different types of surgical procedures
on an outpatient basis, saving from 20 to 50 percent
over the cost of the inpatient surgery.
Several excellent nursing homes offering skilled
nursing care are available in the Batavia area.
Among these is The Holmstad, a high quality retirement
community providing several levels of living from
independent to assisted to skilled care nursing. Also in Batavia, and planning a large addition, is Heritage Woods.
